Marco Pellegrinato entered Videotime in 1980, then joined the Engineering dept. in 1983. In 1991 he led the installation at Telecinco in Madrid, Spain. From 1993 to 1998, he operated in EC-funded research projects (RACE, ACTS, IST). In 1994 he was appointed Head of R&D, where he leads many emerging projects in the world of Digital Media and Innovation Technology.
Such projects included “RAV&FAV”, the IP based network infrastructure specifically designed for ICT Operations in TV production, and “M-TUBE”, the nationwide hi-speed network interconnecting 10 Mediaset branches to the HQ’s in Milan and Rome.
In late 2003, he co-founded DGTVi, the Association of Italian Digital TV Broadcasters, and in 2004 he was in the "Cable and Satellite Europe Euro 50", for being “instrumental in developing the specification for Digital terrestrial TV in Italy”. In 2006, he co-founded HD Forum Italia, where, as Vice President, he coordinated the publishing of HD-Book Collection: the heritage of DGTVi publications extended to High Definition technology and services.
In 2010 he co-designed and deployed the Mediaset Premium Play, OTT Pay Service, which was launched in February 2011.
